The first video is a quick look at the festival that a church was putting on and the second video is of a second act of the cultural display of Hawaiian dancing and singing. Made me miss the time I spent in Hawaii.

Don’t Be Someone’s Downtime
Why I Think Transhumanism is Necessary
Overpopulation and environmental concerns. Two of the major concerns for the future and really big plausible situations of our imminant destruction extinction. Environmental issues are easier to fix than population issues. Being able to work with nature on making our earthly home better to breathe is simple. Then there’s the population. Who would be willing to decide who lives and who doesn’t?
The most prominant position to me is that treversing space in search of other livable planets for humans is a must. This would result in find those suitable to make the trip. In an effort to make the most of it would be to genetically enhance the number required to make the journey. As well as that, being integrated into that would also be joining man and machine. Smarter, stronger, and faster, these new humans would be able to make the journey, especially if we’re to make it to Mars.
Space is brutal. Those who are to cross it must be capable of taking the blunt force of that. Terraforming planets requires lots of work. Nanotech would be a great help, captilizing on better oxygen usage, healing, virus control, and helping the body with any injuries and that which would help the one or two medical professionals that would most likely be along on the trip. Any work that was needed during the trip and at the destination could be helped with tech integration for better and/or necessary eye sight, strength enhancement, and then allowing for any unforseen occurances.
Still a work in process, foundational and informational processes still occur and a lot more is needed. A continuous work in progress. Current trajectory is by nature incomplete in information and direction. It would take a social awakening to accomplish the much needed work. Though I’m sure there’s plenty of secretive plans underway to make the human spirit continue to thrive, even if it does end up going into space.
Backstock plus 3x recieving
Last night was a heavy load with the back stock combined with what seems to be 3x receiving load that had come in. The group was able to get down most of what was sorted into the specific categories, but already being half the manpower needed to fully accomplish the task made it a push. 40 spots throughout the store already make it hard to fulfill what’s needed on a daily basis. Added is the remodel the store is going through.
Though I guess you’d need people willing in the first place. After that, what comes next is what they’re willing to do, if anything at all.
Was slightly chilly last night. When I was inside talking with a couple <a href="http://Shop Amazon Outlet – Clearance, Markdowns and Overstock DealsApparel associates, some customers came to the Apparel desk and said that the grocery cashiers were on strike. Which didn’t make sense because I had come from that direction a few seconds before. Turned out they just didn’t want to wait behind the shoppers with full carts. It was Friday night, first night of three where there’s going to be a lot of that. I could understand, especially if it’s a night where it’s a tight schedule. But, would be useful if more cashiers were able to be hired for that period of time. Weekends do end up being the busiest.
First night
Thursday evening started my first night on night crew. Didn’t get a whole lot of sleep, just a couple naps in an attempt. Slept within an hour of getting home this morning. It’s probably going to take two weeks to a month to get used to the schedule again. Still feel a bit tired but coffee is helping me wake up.
A plus with working this type of schedule is that if I need to take care of any bills or something similar, I know that the place will be open. Like when I needed to do a check up for insurance purposes, I didn’t need to wait for a day off or even ask for it off. Just went after work. Sleeping afterwards may be shortened a little bit, but the feeling of accomplishment helped a little bit.
Even though it’s been a little while (a couple years), still an adjustment. Not sure how long I’ll be doing the night shift. Looks like it’s a need to be filled, and a change of pace was what I was looking for. It’ll also help with me preparing to go back to the Chicago area. Not sure how long that will take though. Just need enough to get me there, get my license situated, a place to live, and time enough to find another job.
First Night’s Always Hard
Get a day off before moving to night crew at work. My first night is Thursday evening, and for about two weeks to a month at least I can guess that I’ll be zombie like as I become accustomed to the new schedule. Working retail always seems to have odd scheduling during the day but a good thing is that overnight scheduling does seem to stay pretty consistent, apart from the days off. Overtime does become dependent on the workload, otherwise 40 hours is a given.
During the process, just figuring out what to do on the nights off lend to a lot of not sure of what I’d like to do. Other than YouTube and various other forms of entertainment. Even going for walks or anywhere outside at night since most places of business are closed.
